RIP M/V Kalakala

I normally don't photograph ferries, However today the M/V Kalakala which was originally built in 1926 as the M/V Peralta for the Key System in Oakland, CA was getting scrapped at Concrete Tech in Tacoma, WA. I stopped by for some pictures since I was passing through the area anyway.

It's too bad she never got restored, however I understand that her condition had deteriorated to a point where it was almost no longer practical to do so, with costs being at least $25 million (although I'm sure such a restoration would go beyond that). May the M/V Kalakala rest in peace.
