in 1998 Translink purchased one Nova LFS as a demonstrator coach. The Coach was tested briefly in service before sitting parked at Burnaby for two years while a decision was made on what to do with it. It was transferred to West Vancouver Municipal Transit and is now in service as their 981. In 2007, CMBC awarded contracts to NOVABUS and purchased a couple hundred new LFS's to retire the fleet of GM and TMC Classics in service.
