Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park operates a fleet of touring buses, most built by the White Motor company in the 1930's. The White Model 706's are are referred to as "Jammers" as they originally had manual transmissions and were often Jammed into gear. They are used on tours of the narrow Going-to-the-sun Road. These coaches were rebuilt in 2001 by the Ford Motor Company to run off propane with modern engines and automatic transmissions. Similar coaches are also used in Yellowstone National Park. They also have a few other assorted vehicles including some Checker's and modern ford vans. More information about the 706's can be found by clicking on the sign below:
