| | Between 1987 and 1992 Pierce Transit purchased 87 Orion 1.508s in several
different configurations ranging from Detroit Diesel 6V92's to Cummins L-10s
Fueled by both Diesel and CNG. All Buses have ZF Transmissions and are
Wheelchair Lift Equipped. All coaches have been retired since 2006. In 1994 and 1996 Pierce Transit purchased 42 Orion 5.501 CNG coaches for the
Seattle Express. These has Cummins L10 engines and the 1994 order had a ZF
transmission, while the 1996 order had the Allison B400R Transmission. The 1994
order was sold to Sound Transit in late 1999 and retired from Sound Transit in
April 2008, with some being held by Pierce Transit as a reserve fleet and rest
sold at auction.
