Bombardier Bi-Level Commuter Coach
Home ] Up ]

Bombardier built the Bi-Level Commuter cars used on Sounder. Since not all were needed at start-up, Some were traded on the Assembly line to Caltrain for immediate use and the cars that were to be built for them were supplied to Sound Transit as replacements. 100 and 200 series are the original ST cars, and 300 and 400 series are Caltrain cars. The Caltrain cars have bigger windows to meet newer FRA regulations.
