Sound Transit purchased one New Flyer DE40LF with the Cummins ISL and a
Allison Ep40 Hybrid Electric drive/Transmission System. It was bought as a
Regional Hybrid Demonstration unit and so far has toured King County Metro, Community
Transit, Everett Transit, Pierce Transit, and Intercity Transit. In October of
2004, it will be permanently assigned to King County Metro Transit.
