Sound Transit has three Skoda 10T LRVs for use on the Tacoma LINK light rail system. These cars were piggybacked onto an order for The Portland Streetcar in Portland, Or. Tacoma LINK started running on August 22, 2003 and within the first 6 months of operated exceeded their 2010 ridership expectations of 2300 people a day. Currently it carries about 2800 people every weekday. They run on a line that is 1.2 miles long, from the Tacoma Dome Station, near the Tacoma Dome which has Pierce Transit local bus service, and Intercity and Sound Transit Regional bus service along with Sounder commuter trains, and the Amtrak station nearby. This area is also known as the "Dome District", the other end of the line is the "Theater district" with the Rialto, Pantages, and Tacoma Actors Guild Theatres, along with the soon to be renovated Winthrop hotel. This stop is  located on commerce street with easy transfers to Pierce Transit local bus service and is in-between Opera Row and Antique Alley above on Broadway and various bars and nightclubs on pacific. The middle of the line at 19th and Pacific, you will find the University of Washington's Tacoma campus, the Federal Courthouse, State History Museum and Bridge of Glass leading to the Tacoma Glass Museum and to round it out the Tacoma Art Museum is located at 17th and Pacific The Line comprised of single and double track.

The line is single tracked from their car house at 25th and H Streets, to about 21st and Pacific Ave. It is double track from there on up to their terminal at 9th and Commerce street.
