GMC RTS

In 1982 TriMet purchased 75 GMC RTS coaches numbered 900-974. They had a 6V92TA and Allison V730 Transmission. These coaches were never terribly popular with drivers because of their poor acceleration, Cramped drivers compartment, and in later years their rear-door wheelchair lift. All but one have been retired and sold, and the one remaining coach is used as a mobile storage room for Metro Parks. Some of the RTS's were sold to Cherriots in Salem, Oregon and continue to see service.
