TriMet has two DE40LF coaches. They are numbered 2561-2562 and were built in 2002. Both arrived in the old Orange and Brown scheme but were quickly repainted into the new Blue, yellow and white scheme with an olive green battery pack cover on the roof. In 2003 the Allison Ep40 blended drive transmission was upgraded and the coaches got new smaller battery packs on the roof typical of the production DE40LFs which are painted white. The buses are powered by the Cummins ISB 275 with Allison Ep40 Transmission.
