Yakima Transit purchased 6 1991 Orion 1.508 coaches from Pierce Transit in
2005 to replacing older and failing coaches in their fleet. Coaches 459, 460,
464, 469, 470 and 471 in-between September and October of that year. All are
powered by the Cummins L-10, with ZF 4HP590 transmission. These coaches are only
used in the winter because they lack air conditioning for Yakima's hot summers.
